Shenyang is the capital of Liaoning Province and the economic, cultural, transportation and trade center of Northeast China.Shenyang is a multi-ethnic settlement. In addition to the Han nationality, more than 30 ethnic minorities such as Manchu, Korean, Hui, Xibo and Mongolian live here.The total population of the city is 6.8 million, including 4.791 million. Shenyang is dominated by plains, mountains and hills, and Liaohe River, Hunhe River and Xiushui river flow through the territory in the southeast.It has a temperate semi humid continental climate. Affected by the monsoon, it has concentrated rainfall, large temperature difference and four distinct seasons. Shenyang is a famous historical and cultural city.It is named because it is located to the north of ancient Shenshui (a tributary of Hun River). Shenyang area in Liaohe River Basin is one of the cradles of the Chinese nation.
